Google updates social search

Google has updated its search systems to include more data about what users’ friends have liked on social networks.

Users who are logged in will be able to see if a site has been recommended by their friends on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn or other public profiles. Google will also move social search results into the main search results listings, rather than relegating them to a box on the bottom of the results page.
Google's just given its search a social boost, integrating recommendations from your friends right into your search results. It's an interesting idea!
How, if you link accounts such as Twitter and Facebook to your Google account, it'll stick links shared on those services right into relevant search results. It's a neat idea, one that could make your results more relevant to you when searching for things that your friends have mentioned online. After all, how often are you looking for something that you think your friend mentioned that one time, or something that relates to a conversation? This will just make finding that stuff easier.
